Established in 2019 by Massimo and Elaine Guglielmi alongside Johan Botha, they’ve built a welcoming space where beginners and seasoned cyclists come together to share challenges and victories. Who can join VTCC?
VTCC welcomes cyclists of all skill levels. Whether you’re an intermediate or an experienced rider, there’s a place for you. We take pride in our “no-drop” policy, ensuring no one is left behind and although our groups are well controlled, we encourage participants to have a reasonable level of fitness and confidence to enjoy the group rides comfortably.
How do I join?
Click on the “Join Us” tab at the bottom right corner, complete the form and submit. Once we receive your form and payment, you will be added to the club’s official WhatsApp group. If you have any questions before joining, feel free to contact any of our committee members for more information.
What are the safety protocols?
Safety is our top priority, and we provide a follow car during group rides. Riders must also have rear lights on.
When are the rides?
Our main group ride takes place every Saturday, with occasional Sunday rides, as well as weekday training sessions. Check out the Group Ride section, for more information.
What time does the rides start?
The earliest rides begin during summertime at 6:00 AM. As winter approaches, the start times gradually shift to later in the day, returning to earlier times as the weather warms up again.
What should I bring?
Always wear your club shirt, bring plenty of water, apply sunblock, and use a rear light. Most importantly, don’t forget your enthusiasm!
Can I bring friends?
Absolutely! We encourage you to bring friends along for our rides. The more, the merrier.
